At CT, we’re always modernising—not just our brand but how we support our people, both personally and professionally.
In December 2023, we enhanced our family leave to better support new parents. Here’s what that means for our eligible employees:
- Maternity Leave: New mothers receive 12 weeks of full pay, followed by 12 weeks of half pay – far beyond statutory requirements – to ease financial pressures during those crucial first six months.
- Paternity Leave: New fathers now get 3 weeks of full pay (up from the statutory 2 weeks), encouraging more dads to take time off without financial worry.
- Adoption & Shared Parental Leave: We also provide enhanced support for parents choosing to share leave, ensuring flexibility for every family.
I was lucky enough to test out our new enhanced policy when I welcomed my son in 2024, and my experience was a great one.
When I first found out I was pregnant, I was overjoyed—but also overwhelmed. The idea of caring for a newborn and adjusting to a whole new life didn’t even seem the most daunting part, what scared me most was the financial strain. Like many new mums, I had never taken an extended break from work, and the thought of relying solely on my partner’s income, when we were used to two, was a scary thought!
CT’s enhanced maternity offering lifted a huge weight off our shoulders. Those first 12 weeks, knowing we still had two full incomes, allowed me to fully embrace the newborn bubble without financial stress. Even in the 12 weeks that followed, receiving 50% pay instead of the minimal Statutory Maternity Pay made a world of a difference.
I’m incredibly grateful to CT for supporting its people during such a vulnerable time. I also believe strongly in increased paternity leave—having my partner by my side in those first few weeks was invaluable, and I only wish it could have been longer!
When I felt ready, I had some great ‘Keeping In Touch Days’ with my team and received updates on an agreed occurrence on what I felt was relevant. Since re-joining, I have changed my hours to allow me to start earlier, finish earlier and have an additional day-off so that I can spend more time with my son. The culture at CT is extremely accommodating of this and we understand that personal and family time is a priority!
At CT, we believe in helping our people thrive—at work and at home.
If family leave is a priority for you in your next role, maybe we’re the right place for you?
