Alistair Grant
ManagerAlistair joined our Personal Tax team as a Trainee back in 2019. Prior to that he received his degree in Economics from the University of St Andrews. After university, he spent 18 months at Scottish Widows working in their Bereavement department.
Since joining us, Alistair has gained his ATT qualification in 2023, and has made his way up to Manager level. He also received his Diploma in Tax Technology in 2025. His clients are mainly families, trusts, partnerships and high net worth individuals, which usually makes no two days the same which he enjoys.
He manages tax compliance matters and some advisory work, helping people with their current submission deadlines as well as their longer term goals. Alistair's favourite work at the firm is when he is able to resolve situations with HMRC that ultimately lead to a great outcome for his clients, even if sometimes if takes HMRC a while to deal with!
As well as his client role, Alistair is involved in the development of our digital tools here at CT. He is involved with improving how his personal tax team provide services to clients as well as the wider firm.
