Jack Matson
Assistant ManagerJack is an Assistant Manager in CT’s Entrepreneurial Taxes Team, based in Dundee, having joined the firm in March 2025.
Jack has over nine years of experience working in tax and now specialises in providing tailored tax advice to start-up and scale-up businesses. Early in his career, Jack completed his ATT and CTA qualifications, before more recently receiving his EIS diploma. This displays his strong technical knowledge in both general tax planning as well as specific to entrepreneurial businesses.
His focus is on helping companies leverage tax-efficient investments (through the Seed/Enterprise Investment Scheme) and implement effective share option planning strategies (such as the Enterprise Management Incentives scheme).
Jack works closely with founders and leadership teams to design solutions that support innovation, optimise financial outcomes, and drive sustainable growth. Jack assists growth companies through to an exit, supporting them in due diligence exercises on investments and sale.
