Jeremy Chittleburgh

Senior Partner

Jeremy joined CT in 1988, at a time when accountancy looked very different to today. His long career has evolved alongside the profession itself, giving him exceptional breadth and perspective across virtually all sectors and types of organisation.

Jeremy qualified as a Chartered Accountant with CT. Following a year’s post qualifying experience with the firm he joined the CharterGroup Partnership in London. During his time with the CharterGroup Partnership he provided training and consultancy services to a network of independent accountancy firms. He was also involved in the development and implementation of a business risk assessment scheme for firms and companies.

Jeremy returned to CT in 1994, becoming partner in 1996 and senior partner in 2014. He is mainly involved with audit, accountancy and business advisory roles.

He has significant experience of the charity sector. He has worked with charitable organisations as an auditor and Trustee over three decades. He is Court Member of Edinburgh Napier University and Chair of Dunedin School. He is also former Honorary Treasurer of Edinburgh World Heritage Trust, past President of Warrender Baths Swimming Club, and former bursar to St George’s School for Girls, all of which has provided him with significant insight into charity governance from a Board and committee perspective. In addition, he is a former Independent Audit Committee member of Registers of Scotland. He is a member of the Charity Finance Group.
